3rd Pary Candidates Lawfully Seek Recount
$113,600.00 poorer, two third-party candidates, The Green Party's David Cobb and Libertarian Michael Badnarik, filed suit Monday in the 3rd District Court of Appeals to force a recount in every single, cotton-pickin', bloomin' county of Ohio. The Lawsuiters disclaimed that this recount would give them a snow-ball's chance in H-E-double hockey sticks, to actually win the electoral votes of that state, seeing as how they garnered a combined 0.26 percent (0.0026) of Ohio's popular Vote.
They rather pointed to correcting any voting irregularities reported by the MSM and elsewhere.
Leading the counter-charges Keith Cunningham, director of the Allen County Board of Elections and incoming president of the Ohio Association of Election Officials, labelled the lawsuit "frivolous," adding that he might mobilize counties to resist a recount.
Adding a very strong salvo to the counter-charges, Carlo LoParo, spokesman for Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, stated that results will be certified by Dec. 6, and said Monday it would not be feasible to conduct a recount beforehand because there are no final numbers. CLP also claimed that the recount would cost 1.5 million dollars.
